'Monster' show, Appendix Gallery

On October 30th (Last Thursday), Justin Bland curated the 'Monster' show at Appendix Gallery on Alberta St. here in PDX. It included my diptic of Bebop and Rocksteady titled "Get Da' Twerdles!"
Appendix is a cool alternitive art space run by awesome people. Thank you to everyone who came to hang out, especially my friends who came up from SE and also Andrew for supplementing my rent via buying my work.

Derek Franklin curated the 'Shitty Drawing' group show at Pacific Northwest College Of Art in October. Matt Green and I made three collaborative pieces about snakes and bears doing ecstasy, skin head bad neighbors and a bummed out burger band.

Im moving to Portland next week. im going to PNCA and am living in this awesome house with a rope swing and a up-side-down-boat bedroom. My room mates are totally awesome.
On a more grim note, I'm trying out this new hair style, and I think its going the way of the dinosaurs, if you know what I mean.

Dance Off Recap

So, you went to my art show instead of dance off. dance off sucked. the venue was so shitty. no one past the first few rows could see anything and even fewer people could hear anything, unlike my painting which was viewable and required no auditory stimulation. we got booed. I mean, thats terrible. ours was by far the funniest, but no one could hear it, and pretty much no one cared either. I hate people who live in bell town and I hate the crocodile. the drinking and dance party after the show was fun though, so hopefully for you, you went and saw my painting then went to the aftermath.

DANCE OFF

So, the fourth annual (or maybe more) dance off is happening august second. but guess what else is august second...the OK Gallery show. so this is probably the only time I'm ever going to tell anyone to NOT go see my work at the gallery show. don't do it. instead, go to dance off. here's why:
1: there is a reference to parapa the rapper in it. isn't that a good enough reason?

2. my team won last year and our dance was really good. but this year, i think it might actually be better! and there's a lot of new people this year who are hilarious.

its at the crocodile and is now only 7 bucks when it used to be 10. there's a bar too this year which is awesome. the only bad thing is that its 21 and up this year. so what are you kids who cant go going to do with your night?

In other news, my eye balls are COMPLETELY FUCKED!! They are itchy, goopy and red. I've definitely ruled out pink eye and almost completely concluded that its not allergies. Mostly i blink a lot and look like an idiot. Hopefully I will be going to a doctor soon. I'll keep you posted on my shitty eyes.
